Crime Prevention Block Party

October marked the time of year for "Safety Prevention Month". To celebrate awareness, we hosted a Crime Prevention Block Party on October 9th at our Crosby Terrace Family site on Hwy 70 West. We had a great time and enjoyed the cake walk, door prizes, sack lunches, vendors, and residents. With the help of the TCAC Depot (AmeriCorps), we were able to present some great door prizes and freebies.

The event had the pleasure of having Captain David Cole and Officer Daniel Lewis from the Dickson Police Department, and Spencer Earhart from Dickson County Drug Coalition. We also had the privilege of having Lieutenant Salewsky from the Dickson Fire Department bring an engine over for the families to view. All of our vendors shared some playtime with our youth, some helpful safety tips, and gave away some cool gadgets.
